Actually enjoyed reading it, which I did not expect from a how-to.

Did what a good primer should — left me knowing exactly what to learn next.

Not for me — I already knew almost everything covered. Might suit a total beginner.

Perfect for a beginner like me — explains things without assuming I already know them.

Not bad, just thin. Felt more like a long blog post than a book.

Some good tips buried in here, but I had to skim a lot of familiar material to find them.

Good, clear, worth it. Not quite five for me because I wanted one more chapter on the advanced side.

This is the kind of thing I'd have paid 10x for and still felt fine about it.
